Speakers' and Poster Presentations

Below you will find important information to presenters:


Oral Presentations:
Speakers are requested to check-in with the session presider in the conference room ten minutes before the session begins.

Total length of the talks:
Plenary talks: 1 hour presentation including 10 minutes for discussion.
Breakthrough talks: 30 minutes presentation including 10 minutes for discussion
Invited talks: 30 minutes presentation including 10 minutes for discussion.
Oral talks: 15 minutes presentation including 3 minutes for discussion.
Technological talks: 45 minutes presentation including 15 minutes for discussion.

Speakers will be able to transfer their presentation file by USB memory stick. It will also be possible to give your presentation from your own notebook. A screen switch will be available to connect several notebooks simultaneously to the data projector. Individual notebooks will need to be connected to the box during the breaks.

The conference room is equipped with microphone, beamer, and computer.

Poster Presentations:
Papers allocated to poster session have been grouped to provide opportunities for in-depth discussion at the 90 minutes poster sessions.

Each author is provided with one bulletin board measuring 130 cm high and 120 cm wide on which to display a summary of the paper. Fixing material (tape) will be provided. The boards will be marked with the poster session code.

Authors are requested to display their poster on their allocated board in the early afternoon of the day of their presentation. In order to present their work and answer questions, authors are requested to be present in the vicinity of their poster on the day of their presentation between 17:00-18:30.

Note to all presenters:
The Chairs appeal to all presenters to refrain from review-type presentations and instead to bring the most recent, unpublished and provoking results that will stimulate conference discussions. It is perfectly acceptable and in fact encouraged to add to the presentations the most recent data (on the declared topic of the presentation) that have not been covered by the conference abstract.

No publication of conference proceedings is planned.

Conference Registration:
In the exception of Plenary Speakers, presenters at Nanometa 2015 are required to register on line for the meeting. See conditions and fees at http://www.nanometa.org/registration

In order to benefit from the reduced fees, please remember to register and pay your fees by Wednesday December 3rd at the latest.

As a submitter, you can directly log in using your email address (or user-ID) and password via https://www.conference-service.com/nanometa15/welcome.cgi. To register, click the tap “Registration”.

Venue:
The meeting will be held from 5 to 8 January 2015 at the Olympia Congress Centre, Klosterstrasse 600, 6100 Seefeld in Tirol, Austria.

Accommodation/Hotel:
Each participant is responsible for organising his/her own travel and housing.
Considering the fact that Seefeld is a ski resort and high touristic destination, we recommend that you make your hotel reservation right now. A list of recommended hotels is published on the conference website: http://www.nanometa.org/hotels. All hotels are located in the city centre and/or close to the congress site. For students, pensions are also provided. The Seefeld tourism office is also at your disposal for any accommodation request.
